Birmingham Bulls Hockey MLK Day Game & Mini Stick Giveaway

The Birmingham Bulls hockey team will take on the Huntsville Havoc on Martin Luther King Day. The game promises to be an exciting match-up between two rivals. To add to the excitement, the first 1000 kids ages 14 and under in attendance will receive a Bulls Mini Stick. There will also be a special appearance by the Zooperstars.
After the game, fans will have the opportunity to Skate with the Bulls players, and unused tickets from the game will be distributed. This is a great opportunity for hockey fans and families to enjoy a fun game while celebrating the holiday honoring Martin Luther King Jr.

King Day Festivities

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute put together King Day 2023. Activities for this event include scavenger hunts, “Galleries Alive” interactive experience, performance by the Carlton Reese Memorial Unity Choir, and a live reenactment of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Letter From Birmingham Jail” that was written while he was imprisoned in the city.
The event will also feature greetings from Mayor Randall Woodfin, BCRI leadership, and FedEx Partners.

United Way Hands On Day of Service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day allows families from all over the community to participate in volunteer opportunities that positively impact their local neighborhoods. The 2023 event will offer a wide range of volunteer options for participants to choose from, including:
