One of the biggest hurdles for those needing infertility treatments is accessibility and affordability.
Well, a new clinic in Birmingham is out to change that. Florida-based medical device company INVO Bioscience, which is focused on commercializing a treatment for patients diagnosed with infertility, has opened a clinic in Birmingham’s Inverness neighborhood with reproductive specialists Dr. Nicholas Cataldo, Dr. Karen R. Hammond and Lisa Ray. Called “Innovative Fertility Specialists, An INVO Center,” the clinic has commercialized an in vivo culture system, which will not only increase capacity and patient access, but also will be more efficient and affordable.
“With the opening of the country’s first INVOcell medical practice, we are advancing a core mission towards improving access to advanced fertility services for the many patients who would otherwise never have the opportunity,” Hammond said. Since 2018, the three doctors have performed more than 700 cycles with INVOcell with patients traveling to Birmingham from more than 28 states to access the procedure.
