Featured Talk: Determined to Be: The Sculpture of John Rhoden
Join us for this discussion on the life of Birmingham native John Rhoden, featured in the BMA exhibition Determined to Be: The Sculpture of John Rhoden. This program will address Rhoden’s early challenges and triumphs, focusing on his adolescence in Birmingham and attendance at Parker High School. The talk will highlight his later public sculptures in the city, installed when he returned as an acclaimed international artist. Participants to the program will receive a map of sites discussed during the talk to continue the exploration across Birmingham.
