Little Hammies

Little Hammies is a fun, family-friendly bike racing series designed just for kids! With exciting, age-appropriate courses on paved and grassy loops, children ages 2 to 10 can experience the thrill of racing in a supportive and energetic environment. Whether your little one is just starting out or already a confident rider without training wheels, there’s a place for them at Little Hammies. Races are grouped by age and skill level, and each child can expect warm-up laps, custom race numbers, fun stickers, ribbons, and medals for participation. Events are more than just races—they’re full experiences that promote confidence, resilience, and outdoor adventure. Pre-race clinics help kids build bike skills, while off-bike games and activities round out the fun. With summer and fall series, special camps, and even inclusive events at locations like the Lakeshore Foundation, there’s something for every young rider. Organized by cycling enthusiast Max Klein and led by experienced coaches like Bill Andrews, Little Hammies is the perfect way to get kids moving, exploring, and having a blast on two wheels.
