SPOOKY SEASON IS COMING! 🎃

And with spooky season comes Isla-ween: The Halloween Bash That Gives Back, Be Brave for Isla’s fall fundraising event! Guests ages 21 and older are invited to enjoy a night out for a great cause on Saturday, October 5th at 6:00 p.m. at Saturn Birmingham. Isla-ween will feature live music from local band The Best Men, dinner and drinks, games, a fabulous silent auction, a signature gift giveaway – this year a destination trip, and a special opportunity to honor NICU nurses and babies in the stars.

“My daughter, Isla, passed away on October 23rd, 2021, and we dressed her up for Halloween every day in October until her last,” says Hannah Smith, co-founder and Executive Director of Be Brave for Isla. “So, Halloween is a special holiday for our family. With October being Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month, we can think of no better way to celebrate these babies and their families. We can’t do this without the support and generosity from our community. We hope to see you October 5th to makes a difference in the lives of families who need it most!”

About Be Brave for Isla: Be Brave for Isla was founded by Jake and Hannah Smith in memory of their daughter, Isla Marie Smith. Isla died at 7 months old from a life-limiting genetic disorder after spending her entire life at UAB’s RNICU.
