Then, the ASO welcomes pianist Awadagin Pratt to perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3. Awadagin has received acclaim for delivering “forceful, imaginative, and precisely tinted” performances and is hailed as “one of the great and distinctive American pianists and conductors of our time.” The concert concludes with Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben (A Hero’s Life).
