The Alabama Butterbean Festival is slated to welcome visitors to Pinson once again Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4–5, 2024. The festival promises a wide array of family-friendly entertainment for all ages. Admission to the annual event is free to the public.

Live performances will grace the Butterbean main stage Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Attendees can anticipate carnival rides and attractions for children and adults each day of the event. A fireworks display presented by Mills Pharmacy will cap off Friday’s festivities at approximately 9 p.m.

Saturday morning, pet owners will have the chance to show off their furry, feathered, and scaled friends at the Alabama Butterbean Festival Pet Parade presented by Sanitary Carpet & Rug Cleaners. Prizes will be available in multiple categories, and registration begins at 9:30 a.m. The annual Alabama Butterbean Festival 5K presented by Food Giant Pinson will also take place Saturday morning; prospective runners can visit alabamabutterbeanfestival.com for more information and to sign up.

“The festival just gets better every year, and 2024 will be no exception,” said Ronnie Dixon, Executive Director of The Clay-Pinson Chamber of Commerce. “We’ve put something really special together for visitors from near and far. We’re eager to show what our home has to offer.”

Classic carnival fare will be on the menu, along with countless ways to enjoy the festival’s namesake bean. The free event also features a display of the World Record Holding Butterbean Pot. The record, set in 2010 for the largest pot of baked beans, saw the pot filled with over 1,010 gallons of beans.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to shop with hundreds of local crafters, makers, artists, and artisans. Bucky Butterbean, the event’s beloved mascot, will also be on hand for photos and hugs.

The Alabama Butterbean Festival will take place at the intersection of Pinson Main Street and

Pinson Boulevard and will be open to visitors Friday, 6–10 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
