The 16th Cross Pearson Wearable Art Gallery is proud to announce its grand opening on July 20, 2024. As the only wearable art gallery in the state of Alabama and the third of its kind in the United States, alongside esteemed locations in Los Angeles and Miami, this event marks a significant milestone in the local and national art scene.

Founded by Tanya Pugh-Johnson, a Birmingham native, the 16th Cross Pearson Wearable Art Gallery aims to provide a unique platform for local creatives to build their brands and collaborate exclusively. With the motto “Faćion is art, and we will make you our masterpiece,” the gallery promises to be a beacon of creativity and innovation in the realm of wearable art.

The gallery features six commissioned creatives, each bringing their unique vision and artistry:

– Designers: Darryl Peoples of Heru Ra Creations and Aaliyah Taylor of Exalting Beauty in Beauty
– Artists: Pansy Nelson and A. Nichel
– Stylists: Nikki Manning Huntley and Bradford Caddell
– Model: Kane
