Tips for Easter Egg Hunting with Toddlers
Bringing a toddler to their first Easter egg hunt? Here are a few tips to help make it fun and stress-free:
- Arrive early: Many hunts start right on time and end quickly—especially for little ones. Give yourself time to park, check in, and find the right age group.
- Bring a labeled basket: Toddlers love picking up eggs, but baskets can get mixed up in the excitement. Add a name tag or ribbon to make it easy to spot.
- Dress for the weather and play: Spring weather can be unpredictable, and some hunts take place in grassy or muddy fields. Layers, closed-toe shoes, and a backup outfit are always smart.
- Don’t stress about the count: Toddlers may only get a few eggs—and that’s okay. Focus on the joy, not the haul.
- Take breaks: Bring water and snacks, and find a quiet spot if your child gets overwhelmed. These events can be a lot to take in.
Most of all, have fun watching your little one explore and celebrate the season at their own pace. Happy egg hunting!
